Geoff Forrester brings over thirty years’ experience in Indonesia to the economic and political analysis services of GFA and the successful operations of GFI. This picture gallery records pictorially important occasions in Geoff’s long association with Indonesia and a long career in international affairs. There are photos of his work as interpreter for Prime Minister Gough Whitlam’s conversations in 1974 and 1975 with President Soeharto. There are photos of meetings and conversations with key Indonesians of the past thirty years. There is his own photo of students crowding the steps of the MPR/DPR building on the morning of 22 May 1998 when Soeharto resigned, which was later used on the cover of the book “The Fall of Soeharto”. This gallery records Geoff’s long, intense association with Indonesia and important achievements in his diplomatic career, which contribute significantly to the quality and unique insights of GFA analysis of Indonesia and GFI’s smooth operations in Indonesia.
